Our story
Our family has always found a way to give back.
My dad, Michael Vinecki, passed away on March 12, 2009. He was forty years old, taken by a rare, aggressive form of prostate cancer. He left behind four kids and a family that refused to let his story end there.
My sister Winter turned grief into action. She founded Team Winter, a foundation that has raised over half a million dollars for the Prostate Cancer Foundation, funding the research that gives other families the time ours didn't get enough of.
Now it's my turn. I'm running 26.2 miles through New York City to carry that same mission forward, for the next family, the next dad, the next kid who deserves more time.
